Who Are We

We are an inviting and loving multigeneration congregation located in the nation's capital. We beleive that the Bible is God's Holy Word and the only way to attain salvation is through Jesus Christ.

We are a body of believers who like Paul, are far from perfection... but pressing towards the mark.  

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:13-14

Our Mission
Mt. Zion shall be a community church and not a church in the community.

Mt. Zion’s aim is stewardship for all of God’s people.

Mt. Zion ‘s desire is to create and provide opportunities for all people regardless of race or creed.

Mt. Zion shall direct its thoughts and actions to promote a higher respect for both God’s church and people

Mt. Zion shall be committed to the training of its members in religious education.

As a church, we shall endeavor to make domestic and foreign mission a part of our service.

Mt. Zion shall aspire to achieve greater evangelism within the total church body.
